Friday, May 30th: Opening Night Reception
After the performance, mingle with cast, crew and Profile staff to celebrate the opening of our production. Enjoy tasty bites by Cheryl’s on 12th and music by Profile’s favorite band, Bourbon Jockeys (with Managing Director Matthew Jones on stand up bass!).

Sunday, June 1st: Mat Chat
Join the director Artistic Director Adriana Baer in a post-performance Mat Chat with our Director of Education and Community Engagement, Lauren Bloom Hanover, to explore the themes of the play and the way in which they are realized in this production.

Thursday, June 5th: Dinner Dialogue
Join Artistic Director Adriana Baer and actors Foss Curtis and Ty Hewitt for our Dinner Dialogue in the private dining room at Grüner for a three course meal. Enjoy an intimate conversation about the rehearsal process and performance of this production. Tickets are $55 and dinner begins at 5:30.

Friday, June 6th: Live Local Music
Before the performance, enjoy the music of Tim Acott and Dan Haley, established veterans of Portland’s music scene. When they get together, they perform an eclectic set of originals and covers that span all genres, including blues, rock, jazz and bluegrass. Their performance will begin at 6:45.

Saturday, June 7th: Designers Panel
Join Artistic Director Adriana Baer with designers from the BURIED CHILD production team as they discuss their individual design processes as well as the ways in which they have collaborated to create the world of the production you are about to see. The panel will begin at 6:30pm in the Midlevel Lounge.

Sunday, June 8th: Mat Chat
Join cast members for a conversation about the production and their performances during a post-performance Mat Chat in the theatre.

Wednesday, June 11th: Wine Tasting Before, Mix and Mingle After
Pre-Performance: We are thrilled to be partnering with Pairings Portland Wine Shop, who will present a flight of 3 wines for tasting in the lobby beginning at 6:30. Owner and operator Jeff Weissler will use BURIED CHILD as the inspiration for his selections, basing each wine on the personality of a different character in the play. The price is $10 per person for the tasting. Bottles will be made available for sale.
Late-night: A mix and mingle with cast members in our lobby. Wine will be available.

Thursday, June 12th: Get Creative
Explore your own creativity and the World of the Play with Director of Education and Community Engagement, Lauren Bloom Hanover. Before the performance, during intermission and after the show has ended, work with a friend or on your own creating a fun interpretation of Shepard’s words, using the fun and kooky art supplies provided by Profile.

Friday, June 13th: Tamale Night is Back!
Enjoy an authentic taste of Mexico before the performance, right in our lobby! Locally owned La Bonita will be serving up plates of their delicious tamales for only $5-$7. So come to the theatre hungry. Extra points go to the patrons who can find the connection between tamales and the play!

Saturday, June 14th: Lecture – Shepard and the American Dream 
Karin Magaldi, Director of the School of Theatre and Film at Portland State University, will lead a discussion about Sam Shepard and the American Dream. In addition to her work at Portland State, Professor Magaldi is also an accomplished playwright, dramaturg and director. The conversation will begin at 6:45pm in the Midlevel Lounge.
