“First I’ll kill the dog with kindness and if that doesn’t work…I’ll just kill him.”
“Profile Theatre presents a riveting production of (Albee’s) playlets…”
The Oregonian
“Profile’s swift and often funny production…digs into both the
old and new with satisfying gusto.”
Bob Hicks – Oregon ArtsWatch
At Home at the Zoo pairs Edward Albee’s 1958 breakthrough one-act play, The Zoo Story, with a brand new prequel, Homelife. Homelife reveals Peter’s very controlled and managed life at home before he departs for the fateful walk in New York’s Central Park that sets the wheels in motion for The Zoo Story. This savagely witty comic drama presents a fresh take on one of the most classic pieces of American theater.
“Tense, truthful, and hypnotic” – New York Daily News
“A thoroughly satisfying package of jagged-edged provocation” – Newsday
